In the Studio...

I have been absent for the blogosphere for over a month now. It just happens sometimes, unfortunately. I go through phrases of blogging constantly, when I feel like sharing everything that's going on in my neck of the woods and writing about things that inspire and motivate me. Other times, life just gets too busy. The last month has been one of those times. I'm very immersed in work at the moment and I am enjoying my job tremendously. Next month, the schedule of classes is completely packed out, with some dates with three workshops on one day! It's a lot of work but the results are so worth it. I love hearing from happy customers who've gained new skills, friends and hobbies through attending our classes.

We also moved house quite recently and it's taken us a fair while to sort our stuff out. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been putting together a little studio of sorts for myself. I thought I'd share some snaps of my progress with you.

It feels so good to have somewhere to work again, especially now I have somewhere to both store and display my fabric and supplies. I can't begin to describe the warm, fuzzy feeling I experience when I sit in front of my machine surrounded by things that inspire and captivate me.

During the winter months, I aim to spend a lot of my evenings here, getting through a stack of projects I've lined up for myself. As time goes on, I will share bits of my progress with you, and keep you up to date with what's going on 'in the studio'...

This is what I'm currently working on: a skirt by Anna Maria Horner, in feather patterned cotton with purple piping. It's proving quite challenging but I'm learning lots!
